In the United States, the Brazilian community is growing rapidly. TV Globo
and TV Record – two of the most prominent Brazilian TV networks –
are already represented in the USA. Via satellite, Brazilian-Portuguese news
and culture are made accessible to thousands of signature viewers here in
the USA. Brazilian media in the US also covers newspapers, magazines and even
some local radio stations.
Brazilian events increase in profile all across the United States with focus
on areas which are highly populated by Brazilians, such as Boston MA, the
States of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Rode Island and the
State of Florida. Marketing possibilities range from sponsorship opportunities,
to advertising, and special promotions.
South Florida in particular has a very impressive Brazilian community. That is why the Florida Department of Education has launched in its public elementary schools a bilingual program in the Miami-metro area.
